Today the Nokia N80i is finally in my hands, thanks to the Nokia Blogger Relations program. I’m really interested in performing a deep comparison among the three phones I have now (N73 and N93 are the others), trying to understand what could be better for a geek business man like me.
At first sight, the N80i looks nice. It’s dark grey with a black sliding keyboard (far from the red and white of the consumer phone N73).
Like N73 and N93, the N80i is provided with a 3.2 Mpix camera. Unlike N73, N80i’s camera is not hidden by a sliding cover (a solution that I like very much). I really look forward to trying it out and to see what others think on it.
Speaking about size, N80i’s weight is similar to N73 but it’s a little bit thinner and shorter.
Unfortunately, some useful additional keys available on the N73 and N93 are not available here (to quick access the gallery, for instance). It’s a clear sign that I’m in front of a business phone, while N73 and N93 are much more targeted to the consumer market.
On the contrary, N80i is provided with WiFi connectivity like N93, a feature that now I consider a must-have for any mobile phone.
Others quick comments:
- unlike N73, keyboard seems comfortable
- despite the display is a little bit smaller than those of N73 and N93, the resolution is higher
Stay tuned for more comments in the following days.
