HOW TO: post photos to Blogger through Nokia LifeBlog

by Luca Filigheddu on January 2, 2007

As I previously mentioned, Nokia Lifeblog natively supports only TypePad’s blogs. What if I would like to post photos to my Blogger’s blog by using LifeBlog ?

Finally, I’ve found a work around to do that. You just need a Flickr account. In fact, Flickr is a service supported by Lifeblog and they let you use their service to post photos straight to your blog (as a post) passing through Flickr.

First of all, you need to configure your Flickr account to work with your Blogger’s blog. You can easily do that by following these instructions.

After that, you have to add your Flickr account to Lifeblog:

Open up Options –> Settings, and add the following:

* Server: http://www.flickr.com/services/atom2blog/
* Username: YOURUSERNAME
* Password: YOURLIFEBLOGPASSWORD

To get YOURLIFEBLOGPASSWORD, you have to sign in into Flickr and go to this page to recover it (it’s different from your Flickr password!).

This said, here’s my first post made through my N80i. Great!

    Just for additional information, I have posted similar posting a couple of months ago too, http://www.s60tips.com/2006/07/12/how-to-flickr....

    Hi! Your hack for blogging from Lifeblog to Blogger via Flickr didn't work for me. I followed all the instructions thoroughly, but I keep getting "server reported an error". I think it manages to log in before this message appears. Are there other people with similar problem. I am using N93. I also tried both atom and atom2blog links, but kept getting the same error.

    Remember that you don't have tu put your own Flickr uid and password, but a new couple that Flickr will provide to you at this page

    http://www.flickr.com/tools/lifeblog/

    It should work seamlessly.
  • Stanislav
    Yes, I did just that - put the lifeblog info from the http://www.flickr.com/tools/lifeblog/ link. Just doesn't work. Even have flashed my N93 to the latest version. Thanks anyway.

    Excellent info! Got the "server reported an error" first time, but tried again, and it worked. N91, re-flashed just after christmas.

    Thanks a lot!
