E61 software problem

During these days I’m trying a Nokia E61 out since I’ve lent my Nokia N80i to my company’s Symbian development team in order to give it a try.

Even if this E61 has been updated to the latest firmware, I’ve noticed that there is a problem with its software. The problem is basically the following: when you go to the gallery and try to open the “options” over an opened gallery item (photo, video, whatever) by pressing the left button, I don’t get any options menu. The correct behavior, like any last generation Nokia, is the visualization of a contextual menu through which I can move that item, send it by bluetooth etc. and perform other actions on that item.

After having consulted a Nokia expert, I’ve used the code *#7370# in order to wipe all the settings and basically “reset” the phone to its original settings. It worked very well and I was able to use the options described above again.

Now, after a few days of usage, those options are no more available again, hence I think the E61’s internal database is messed up again. I don’t want to reset it again, but rather try to discover why it happens. Is that caused by some of the applications I’ve installed ? Has anyone experienced the same problem ?

Any help is appreciated.
