GrandCentral is going to announce some new cool features of its service during ETel conference.
1) web button: now GrandCentral users can embed a web button on a web page to enable visitors to call them for free. Mmh… I’ve already heard about something like this somewhere…
2) new user interface, with the ability to see on a map the location of people who called you
3) new payoff: no more “One Number… for Life” but “The New Way to Use Your Phones”
4) GrandCentral and T-Mobile
GrandCentral lets users choose in their settings if they want their GrandCentral calls to:
- forward the caller’s Caller ID so they know who’s calling or
- display their GrandCentral number so they know it’s a GrandCentral call and they can pick up safely and have their call handling options
In the latter case, if the phone they take the call from is a T-Mobile cell phone and they have registered their GrandCentral number as one of their “Faves”, then all incoming calls to their T-Mobile cell are now free, regardless of who the caller is.
Congratulations Craig & Co, I’m looking forward to try your new features out in my account you’ve kindly provided.
