Sitofono and Jajah: five differences

Following up some comments on my latest post on Sitofono Mobile, I would like to make clear that Jajah and Sitofono are apparently similar products but at the same time they are totally different. Here are five main differences:

1) MARKET

• Sitofono is a product that businesses BUY.
• Jajah is a FREE VoIP service for consumers.

2) PURPOSE

• Users use Sitofono for FREE to contact businesses from their computer (PC to Phone or with a call back technology ) or from their mobile phone with Sitofono Mobile. They don’t need to be registered to any VoIP service.
• Users use Jajah to call for free other registered users (when allowed) or to call landline or mobile phones at cheap rates with a call-me-back technology. They must be registered to the Jajah service and can use their PC or their mobile phone.

3) WHAT IS IT

• Sitofono is a marketing tool which uses VoIP. It’s for the business market.
• Jajah is a VoIP service. It’s for the consumer market.

4) USAGE

• Sitofono CAN be used (with a trick) by any Sitofono’s owner to make FREE calls worldwide. The called person don’t need to buy a Sitofono nor to be registered to whatever VoIP service.
• Jajah IS MADE to make VoIP web-initiated calls. To make free calls (when allowed), caller and called must be registered Jajah users.

5) COSTS

• Sitofono costs a flat fixed price for one year. Businesses pay it to put Sitofono on their website, mail signature and so on.
• Jajah’s user can buy credits to make calls to fixed or mobile phones worldwide.

In a nutshell, Jajah is a VoIP service while Sitofono is a marketing tool based on VoIP. If I had to categorize them, I would put Jajah under “VoIP Services – Consumer” and Sitofono under “Click to call services – Business”.
