Olympia, the company which controlled 18% of Telecom Italia, has been finally sold to a group led by the spanish Telefonica.

The new group, named Telco, is composed by Telefonica, Benetton, Generali, MedioBanca, Intesa San Paolo, and will own the 23.6% of Telecom Italia. The cost of the operation should be around € 4.1 billions.

Finally, something has been moved! This should bring Telecom out of the static situation in which it was.
