From Jeff’s comment to my post about the value coming from click-to-call services:
I’ve been a fan of “click to call” since I first experimented with “Surf ‘n’Call” functionality that VocalTec had back in 1997.
These days living in a world with pervasive broadband, these were the days we dreamed about 10 years ago. I agree with you Luca, having click-to-call should be a core element of most websites. It is just a matter of time before other people wake up and “Get it.”
VocalTec offered a click-to-call service back in 1997. Us in Abbeynet released the first click-to-call back in 2000. A great service but too early, the market was not ready. Now it’s ready and it’s important to teach it on how to take advantage of it.
