A few months ago I’ve written about one of the most promising italian musician and composer, Giovanni Allevi. Yesterday he gave a concert in my town, so I couldn’t miss it (two days, sold out).

What to say? The best piano concert I’ve ever attended (disclosure: I play piano and I’ve attended many piano concerts). He’s really a nice guy, jeans and t-shirt, a bit shy, but definitely a genius. His genre? Someone calls it jazz, but it’s not jazz. It’s something unique, a mix between jazz, classical and progressive. Unique. International reviews define him as an “italian genius of the piano”, “the 2000 Mozart.”

Don’t miss it out if in your country. He plays all around the world. If you live in US, you can enjoy Giovanni Allevi on May 21th in New York, Blue note.
