Joost, the IP-TV service by Skype’s founders Zennstrom and Friis, gets 45M euro in funding by five investors, that are: Sequoia Capital, Index Ventures, Viacom, CBS and Chinese tycoon, Li Ka-shing.
Index Ventures know the two founders very well, since it has been involved in the big deal with Skype and eBay. This round is a clear sign that something important is going on in the IPTV space so I predict that other players will be involved in important funding rounds pretty soon.

And for investors who are suddenly looking at P2P TV companies, here is a short list of names that might come in handy: Babelgum, RawFlow, Jaman, Zattoo, and Neokast.
I bet Babelgum will be the next one.
