YouTube and Apple: my predictions were right

Posted on 16 June 2007

Late in October last year I predicted:

What about the ability to publish new videos from iTunes ? Or to download YouTube’s video on your iPod ? Or to make users pay for a particular category of YouTube videos ?

The second, at least, was right and also AppleTV is involved.

Who is going to write the future of IP TV? Guys, we’re speaking of Apple. Joost is the only missing piece in this picture…What if it was embedded into AppleTV?

UPDATE: Steve O’Hear made me notice this post on Last100. Om Malik asked a specific question to the new Joost’s CEO Mike Volpi:

Might the AppleTV be a candidate? asked Om Malik when he got a chance to put five questions to the new CEO. “We would love to put Joost on the Apple TV platform”, replied Volpi. “We know we can make it run on any operating system.”
