As already highlighted on this blog a couple of times, YouTube and AppleTV is really a winning union. I’ve discovered myself using YouTube more than ever, basically because I’m using it in what I think being the proper way for videos, that is on my sofa, in front of my TV and with a remote control in my hands. No distractions, no email alerts, no other interruptions. Just me and my TV.
All this said, I think that a couple of features would really make my AppleTV much better. Here they are:
5) Widgets
Why not? Weather, calendar and other useful stuff might be appreciated by users. I’d love to have those.
4) Google Maps
An easy to use integration would be really great. iPhone has it, why not my AppleTV ?
3) Online Banking
I only use online banking. It would be great if I could check my bank account directly from my Apple TV.
2) Ability to read RSS articles
Again, my AppleTV is always on, so I would really appreciate the ability to download and read new articles from my preferred RSS feeds
1) Full integration with GMAIL
The ability to check my emails would be really great. I mention Gmail since Apple and Google are more than good friends.
Apple, are you there? When should I expect a new software upgrade with my suggestions turned into reality?
