Free Calls Time: Chocophone

I really enjoy writing this post because what I’m going to talk about here is one of the first VoIP services ever launched that my company introduced in late 2000: Chocophone.

Chocophone is a PC to Phone service which lets you call for FREE mobile and landline phones in Italy. The old version of the service had a few restrictions, but it can now count over 700.000 users.

This week my company is going to re-launch Chocophone. It won’t be totally free any more, but there are many promotions through which you can get FREE minutes to your preferred destinations.

How to get FREE minutes with the promotion that Chocophone will launch THIS WEEK?

Here are the instructions (this promotion is valid until Aug 15th, so hurry up!)

1) Get a new account

To take part in the promotion you need to have a Chocophone account. Fill in the registration form. You have to provide a valid email address. Old accounts will be filled with 10 minutes free also.

2) At the end of the sign up process they (we?) give you 10 minutes free to call landline and mobile phones worldwide *

But, if you are also willing to charge a few € to your account:

3) The first time you buy 5 euro credit Chocophone gives you 100 minutes free to call landline and mobile phones worldwide *

4) The first time you buy 10 euro credit Chocophone gives you 200 minutes free to call landline and mobile phones worldwide *

*The calculation is made according to the calls to Italy.

TIP: what happens if you register more accounts with different email addresses? Think carefully about it… ;-)
In addition, if you have been an active user of Chocophone during the past months, you’ll find 200 minutes free already filled in your account. Not bad right?
