Is SightSpeed seeking for VC’s money ?

Is SightSpeed seeking for VC’s money ?

SightSpeed, the popular video over IP service, names Bill Stensrud to their Advisory Board.

Stensrud, currently a private investor, held positions with AT&T, ROLM, StrataCom and other telecom and technology companies during a career that has spanned more than 30 years.

Since 1996, Stensrud has been involved in investment activities in communications, software and services industries, both independently and with the venture capital firm Enterprise Partners.

I believe that this move clearly reveals the intention of SightSpeed to approach the Venture Capital world. I’m curious to see what the next move by Peter&Co. will be.
Their business model is still pretty unclear to me. At this time is a mixture between licensees to big customers and premium services for a small (I guess) percentage of users. In addition, there is their attempt to approach social networks with their “Vlips“.

In any case, congratulations to Peter Csathy and his team, Sightspeed really deserves to make the jump.

  • Luca, am always happy to discuss our strategy! And, am in beautiful Italy as we speak (Positano now -- but Rome in a couple days). We should grab a capuccino!
