MySky, the italian TiVO

For my birthday (last week) one of the gift I received is MySky.

As reported in this blog some time ago, I’m a subscriber of Sky, the satellite TV provider in Italy and other european countries. MySky is an add-on of my plan that let me record programs on my Sky Set-top-box (now provided with a 160GB hdd) and to make usage of the time-shift function. It costs only an additional €7 / month (I pay now €34/month).

That means I can “pause” a live program as well as rewind it and program to record films and TV show straight from the Sky online guide.

The user experience is really great and, in addition, I can go to their internet online guide on their web portal and choose what shows to record directly from there. My Set-top-box is instantly remotely programmed. Fantastic!

I’m really enjoying this service that I highly recommend (if available in your country). With my 8-months son, it’s a must-have for me.
