Yesterday, during the event at Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, Steve Jobs unveiled some cool summer news from Apple.
- New iMac: more powerful than the previous model and with a new look that reminds the Apple iPhone
- New iLife ‘08 and iWork ‘08: expected together with Leopard in October, Steve anticipated their launch. The real news is the introduction of Numbers, the “Excel” made in Apple
- New Keyboards: new “flat” look that reminds me the MacBook one, it comes in two models: wired, normal size, and wireless (bluetooth) smaller size. Is the second one ready for some upcoming updates of the Apple TV?
- Light updates for the Mac Mini and for the Airport Extreme: speed boost for the first one and gigabit ethernet interface for the second one.
- New .Mac: a makeover to make it more “2.0″.
In conclusion, an interesting set of updates, much appreciated from the press. In addition, the European Apple website has been updated and it’s now the same look of the US one.
Best coverage of the live event from Engadget, as usual.
