It’s summer and I wanted to offer this bonus to my readers. Maybe most of you definitely don’t care, but others can appreciate to know more about the author of this blog.
1) I’m an electronic engineer
Even if I currently held the role of CEO in my company, spending most of my time observing the market and taking care of partnerships and big customers, my studies have been based on signals, SNR, transistors, antennas, amplifiers and so on. So I know what a transistor is and how it works, but please don’t ask me more… I think that most of that knowledge has been hidden in some undefined areas of my brain 
2) I’m married and have one son
I got married with Stefania, a doctor specialized in Allergology and Immunology, late in 2004. We have one son, Simone, who is born on November 3rd, 2006.
3) I’m “only” 33
Many business contacts tell me: “Oh, you’re so young to be the CEO of a company”. My response usually is: “Do you know how old Larry Page was when he founded Google ?”
4) My nickname is “Filos”
Since the High School, my nickname has always been “Filos”. A variation of this nickname is “Filosnet”, that I use over the internet to write forums and mailing lists.
5) I love gadgets
As most of you should know, I’m a gadget lover. Mobile phones, PDAs, computers, any kind of accessory that can help my life to be better is something I do want. In addition, I love the Nokia and Apple worlds.
6) I live in Sardinia
My home town, my business office and the place where I live has always been Sardinia, the beautiful island in the middle of the mediterranean sea. Not much business here, but a great place that improve your way of life.
7) I used to play martial arts
Before the arrival of my wonderful son, I used to play martial arts since 2004. I have been awarded by the Taekwondo blue belt, two belts far from the black belt. Unfortunately not that much time to go on with this (to me) wonderful sport.
I love watches and shoes
Watches and shoes are something I could potentially buy continuously. If you want to give me a gift, a watch is always appreciated.
9) I do love sushi
I can eat it at lunch and dinner for an entire month. I really love it. Great sushi restaurants are Zen and Nobu in Milan, Kobe in Amsterdam and Mitsukoshi in London.
10) I take decisions very quickly
Sometimes it is a good thing, sometimes it isn’t. I use to take decisions very fast, I’m rarely undecided. I believe that winners shouldn’t be undecided, otherwise others take decisions before you and can potentially win against you. Put together all the elements that you have to take a particular decision and take it as quick as possible, that’s my motto.
