Can’t understand Jajah’s promotion for Canadians

I read today that Jajah is offering a special promotion to Canadians. According to their blog:

So — we want to reward you Canada with FREE calling! You enriched our lives with so many things from the anti-gravity suit to the washing machine. With JAJAH, calls to other registered users across Canada or to the U.S. on a landline or mobile phone is FREE for up to 30 minutes each day for calls initiated from Jajah.com.

If you take a look at their rates page, you can find the Free Global Calling Zone. According to this promotion:

JAJAH Free Global Calling allows for free calls between members under a fair use agreement.
In countries of Group A free member to member calls are available for landline and mobile phones.

Canada is included in group A, of course.

All this said, at first sight I understand that Canadians are unlucky, because according to the Free Global Calling Zone, there is a “fair user policy” (but they don’t explain what it really means) instead for Canadians this policy is explicit and it means “30 minutes free”.

Hey Frederik, what am I missing here ?!?

  • Ciao Luca,

this is my Saturday evening man ;-)

Nothing really missing, Alec Saunders told us that even national long-distance calls are ridiculously expensive in Canada, not to mention international calls and that Jajah offers great rates and even a certain amount of free global calling to Canadians. Simply that it makes a lot of sense to use Jajah.

That in mind we added the Canadian dollar as a currency to our system that it becomes even easier and more convenient to use Jajah.

The free call policy has always been a part of Jajah, you can find it in our help section (can't paste the link, the iPhone doesn't have copy&paste). The amount of free minutes can differ slightly from country to country (because of fraud reasons), but for Canada and most other countries we provide this amount of free global calling.

Have a great rest of the weekend and regards,

    Frederik
