Feedburner launches “Pubvertise”

Feedburner announced yesterday the launch of “Pubvertise“, a way to publicize your blog through the Feedburner feedvertising network.

Basically, starting from the headline animator that Feedburner makes available for publishers, you can now customize it in order to publicize your blog over their ad network.

Budget goes from $25 to $1000. For higher budgets, publishers can just contact their sales office.

I’ve tried to configure it budgeting $25 for 1 week and their system calculates approximately 446 impressions per day. With an average CTR of 2%, I would get around 9 new subscribers (or hits, if I am not so lucky) per day.

It’s not that bad, there are highly visited websites that can surely take advantage of that. To be honest, I’m tempted to give it a try and see if it is worth $25.

Anyway, it’s a good move from Feedburner, this way they can expand their advertisers portfolio. A suggestion? They could offer a free trial for 1 week to selected publishers in order to let them appreciate the value of this new tool.
