I read today on TUAW that Engadget has just announced a software to unluck the iPhone completely. You can use whatever SIM card from whatever mobile operator both in US and in other countries. Cool!
This unlocking is possible thanks to iPhoneSIMfree.com.
Engadget has also some images and a video which show a working iPhone using T-Mobile.
Again: we can confirm with 100% certainty that iPhoneSIMfree.com’s software solution completely SIM unlocks the iPhone, is restore-resistant, and should make the iPhone fully functional for users outside of the US. Read on for details and links to our video, and check out the gallery of images below.

I’m wondering how much a software like that is worth… It seems that individual licenses will be available starting next week.
Hey guys, my question is: is it legal ? What do you think ? I look forward to seeing iPhone working with an italian SIM card… or Irish…
UPDATE: Engadget has an interesting post on this legal issues…
