Sony PSP, GPS and VoIP

I’ve covered these subjects already in this blog hence my wish (as a PSP user) is to see something real pretty soon instead of press releases only!

Again, here are two official confirms that GPS and VoIP are coming to PSP. The former, will be released by Sony as an add-on to their portable gaming console on February 2008 at a price between €100 and €150. VoIP, on the contrary, will be made available by BT as a video communication software for gamers earlier, on January 2008.

I bet that those add-ons will be available for the new PSPs only, but I could be wrong. In any case, since in my opinion the Sony PSP has a great potential, those can represent the first step to make the PSP a real multi-purpose device capable of competing with other multimedia devices in the market.

At this time, the Sony PSP is a fantastic portable gaming platform but it lacks of many features like an internal high-capacity hard disk and a communication software to be used through its Wifi interface.
