After a few interesting comments to this post, I decided to give Google Reader a try.
I’ve been using GReader in the past and I can see that the new version is far better than the old one.
The only reason why I’m willing to switch is that I realized that keeping NetNewsWire or any other newsreader switched off, saves a lot of resources on my MacBook. I still don’t like that Google Reader doesn’t update feeds in real time so some news appear delayed, but it’s letting me save a lot of time since I now see the “hourglass pointer” much less.
