I think it’s worth pointing out that really none of Michael’s companies, other than MP3.com, have been even remotely “successful.” Linspire, MP3tunes, Sipphone, Ajax Windows, are all small startups which haven’t had much impact, certainly not to the extent of their competitors (Ubuntu, Red Hat, Skype, Google, and so on).

Even MP3.com was never really very profitable, but Michael was lucky to have sold it at the right time, after he seriously destroyed its valuation with all his copyright infringements with MyMP3.

Until proven otherwise, Robertson remains a one-trick pony.

Well, not yet at least. Even if Mp3.com has not been profitable, it has been a success for Michael, like Skype has been for their shareholders. But the company itself, has not been that profitable at all.

Just being the founder of mp3.com is enough. That is great vision. He put mp3 on the map. I remeber when they had every known band on that site.

He’s humble enough to admit his missteps too. Dont understand why you criticize him for that. That shows courage. CONner is just another coward who hides behind a made up name while Michael uses both his names. How easy.
