One of the worst side effects of being a big company is that sometimes you loose part of your “human” touch. In addition, there could be policies that make this aspect even worse.
Feedburner have been acquired by Google a few months ago. I’ve been a Feedburner user prior the acquisition and still I’m one of their faithful users. Where is the difference ?
While Feedburner was a standalone company, they took care of their relationship with bloggers much more than today. I got comments to my posts from Feedburner a couple of times, always useful and friendly.
Today, If I write something about Feedburner, with questions or concerns or even critics, no one takes care of me. Like here or here. No answers, no comments. Nothing. And what about here (not Feedburner, but AdSense)? No response.
I’m told that there are strict policies at Google that prevent employees to post comments to blog posts and so on. Ok, it sounds reasonable, but what about having an official “voice” (PR ?) that can take of of the relationship with bloggers?
