This news doesn’t surprise me at all.
In Italy, Tiscali has been offering “Tandem”, a bundle of ADSL and VoIP phone line, since last year. It seems that starting from this week, Tiscali is not offering the VoIP line any more, but a PSTN line.
This should be proven by the fact that they are not providing a VoIP router any more, but only a “normal” Wireless router.
I have to check with my friends in Tiscali what this move means. I have had many negative feedbacks on the quality of the voice connection, so it could be a “temporary” change in order to take their time to make the necessary improvements.
