Today is Sunday and fortunately I could easily recover from my long trip and I could start getting familiar with Palo Alto and its neighborhood.
First of all driving. It’s the first time for me that I drive in the US. Aside from the automatic car I got for rental, which I used easily, the GPS is helping me to find places and streets. I can’t live without. That said, here are the facts that caught my attention: when traffic lights are red, you can always turn right, something strictly forbidden in Italy/Europe. Secondly, everyone here takes care of speed limits! US Police is famous to be very severe in regards of speed limits, something that italians or some europeans in general would never understand…
In general, not that much time today, since I slept a couple of hours during the day, to try to block a bad headache due to jet lag. I only went to take some photos in one the the parks near Stanford University, a very very nice place.
