Piotr Cofta, senior researcher at BT, just gave a great presentation on “User”. How do we define a user? What is relevant for him/her?
He concluded his very brief but effective presentation concluding that it’s important to design telephones and services for the right market. He tried many cool mobile phones, but at the end of the day he comes back to his seven years old Nokia phone, because other phones are not relevant for him.
I believe Nokia knows this very well since they have the biggest portfolio of devices in order to try to cover any market segment.
At the end, he asked the audience to watch themselves on the mirror and design the right mobile phone for themselves. That’s an interesting challenge. I’ll try to do that and post the result here.
