Ribbit is a new VoIP company that has been working in “stealth mode” here in Silicon Valley until these weeks. It’s still not that clear what they are going to do, but more details can leak out by what’s going to happen next Dec 13th in San Francisco.
During that event, taking place at Metalic, 744 Alabama St in SF, they are going to officially present their new VoIP APIs, capable of offering fully-fledged VOIP functionalities by using Flash, so that developers can easily create VoIP applications by using Adobe Flex and AIR. You can take a look at the developers website here.
Tedd Griggs, Ribbit’s CEO, will introduce that evening by giving more details on who they are and what their vision is. One of their managers is Don Thorson, former VP at Jajah.
I’m still in Palo Alto on Dec 13th so I’m looking forward to attend this event, even if unfortunately it overlaps with another one. I hope to make it to this Ribbit’s official presentation, it will surely be a great networking opportunity a the best way to know more about this new startup.
