According to Craig Newmark, Craigslist’s founder, that’s what Craigslist is. He started it back in 1994 and nothing really changed in their service since then. Something changed, but not really appreciable by the final users.
Everyone know that Craigslist is not really the best example of Web 2.0 service… because it’s not! Classifieds, period. And Craig made some very good points on what they are doing now and what his current role is… customer service! An expansion is expected in the following months, but no mention of a possibile European version.
I enjoyed his interview during the WebGuild Web 2.0 conference, unfortunately couldn’t engage him more because lack of time.
