New Year’s updates for our micro video blogging Hictu.

The main news is the complete integration with Jajah. Now Hictu users can call each others through one of the fastest growing VOIP service worldwide. Here is the complete press release.

We are very proud of this partnership since Jajah is one of the players that will play an important role in 2008 in the field of web-based communications, and Hictu+Jajah is another example of the “integration” I referred to in this post.

I know that someone of you are asking themselves: don’t the guys at Abbeynet do VoIP themselves? The answer is YES and on Hictu our services are integrated already, but this doesn’t mean that we are not open to give the deserved value to a service that is doing great things worldwide.

I also want to remind you that Hictu provides advanced Presence capabilities, so that users can contact/call their friends from their friends list by using all the major IM and VOIP services, according to their presence status.

In addition, a deeper integration with Twitter and the ability to import your contacts from GMAIL is available in this new version. Hictu users can now send private messages to their Twitter friends from Hictu and, as in the previous version, post to Hictu and Twitter at the same time with one click.

Next release of Hictu is due in the following weeks, with a major redesign and more cool news. Stay tuned!
