Think of this: I want to get in touch with John that (let’s say through Linkedin) I see is connected to me through 30 of my trusted contacts. I need an introduction, who do I choose?
This is becoming a huge problem in any social network. In Linkedin, it is becoming more and more difficult to understand if someone’s connection to someone else is “strong” or just very superficial. Depending on this, the introduction is going to be effective or not.
Why not adding a sort of Page Rank for our contacts? It should be related to how much a person is “connected” to another one. It depends to many factors, and all of them should contribute to create this rank.
Wouldn’t it be helpful and valuable?
