During my visits to Silicon Valley I faced some peculiar and sometimes funny behaviors of Americans.
Here is a brief list, from the standpoint of an Italian and just for fun. Enjoy!
Too cold or Too hot
Americans usually like everything too hot or too cold. Nothing in the middle. A Starbucks’ Cappuccino can be drunk after 3 hours only while a coke cannot be drunk due to the 40KG of ice on it.
Stickers
Guys, I don’t care if your son has been named #1 in his college… It’s not necessary to have all those stickers on the back of your car that informs me about that!
Espresso
An Espresso is not a regular coffee in a small cup. Many Cafes/Bars should keep it in mind.
Furnished Cars
It seems that in the US cars are furnished with everything. Couldn’t count the number of old cars with moquette inside and I couldn’t find a car without a Starbucks’ mug/cup in the bottle’s holder. Why don’t you drink your Cappuccino calmly inside the Starbucks? Are you stressed?
Deers like Cats
The probability of seeing a deer in Silicon Valley is the same as seeing a cat in Italy.
