Bebo is gone, AOL is buying the UK-based social network for $850 million in cash. Someone argues if it’s going to become Beb-oh after the acquisition, since Time Warner (AOL is the online division of TW) already messed thing up after acquisitions.

At this point Time Warner has in house the biggest competitor of MySpace and it will be interesting to see what the next move by the most popular social network for young users will be.

Personally I never used Bebo, since I’m not really in their target demographic, but the recent opening of their platform will surely let them gain more and more traction than before. Are we going to see a new Bebo-based version of ICQ soon?
