Another native VoIP application on the Apple iPhone

Another native VoIP application on the Apple iPhone

Jajah announced yesterday that they are working on a native VoIP application on the Apple iPhone, thanks to the SDK released to developers back in March.

The native software will enable iPhone users to get advantage from the well known Jajah call back capability (BTW, already available from Safari at http://iphone.jajah.com) as well as a new native VoIP over Wifi application.

Jajah is not new to a native VoIP app, since they released a similar application for EMobile in Japan a couple of months ago.

I think we will see more and more VoIP apps coming out in the following months for the Apple iPhone and I also look forward to an official release of the Truphone mobile VoIP application for the iPhone, that James Body showed me during the past VON in San Jose. It worked great and has been developed far before the release of the official SDK. Actually, James told me that there is just a toggle button to switch from GSM to SIP, so the interface is exactly the same of the iPhone, but it uses SIP to make the call.

Can’t wait to see more.
