Integrated messaging on Gizmo5

Michael Robertson announces on his blog that a new feature is available on the mobile version of Gizmo5. He told me about this feature when we met during my last trip to the Bay Area and I’m happy to see that it didn’t take too much to see it released.

With Gizmo5 you can now send IM, SMSs and emails to your contacts from the same interface. If a user is not available on IM, you can choose an alternative method and send an email or SMS.

It would be great, as I suggested to Michael, if the recipient could choose the method of contact he prefers in a certain moment. I can be available by IM, but I can set my presence to force people who have me in their contact list to use a specific means instead of IM. So it is not the sender who choose, but the recipient. This feature would bring the effectiveness of this feature to its best.
