LinkedIn Should Add This Feature

Posted on 26 May 2008

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

I wrote about this already, but I’d like to stress this point since I do believe it could be a strategic feature for LinkedIn, the popular business social network.

This feature should give a response to the following question: how strong is this contact?

It would be great if any LinkedIn user could “rate” how deep is the relationship with a certain contact that has been added to his/her contact list.

If me and John get connected on Linkedin, I should find the ability to rate, let’s say, from 1 to 5 (1  = superficial and 5 = very strong), how strong the relationship with John is.

This information should be visible to anyone in my network so that he could choose the right “path” when it comes to get introduced to someone or to forward an introduction to a 3rd level.

What do you think?
