I’m happy to announce that Hictu, my company’s video microblogging service, is now available to all Facebook users with a very cool application.
Hictu for Facebook, officially released today (even if it was under test for a while now) let’s you easily send videos to your friends with just a couple of clicks. You can record a video on Hictu then send it to your friends or just send one of the videos already available on the Facebook app.
The main reason why we released this application today is to give users a new way to send video Christmas wishes to friends and family. Users can also write or leave a video on the Hictu wall, where users can leave multimedia messages to each others.
Right now you cannot send more than 30 videos (or a video to 30 friends) per day, but we expect Facebook will remove this limit away (increase it, at least) as soon as the app becomes more popular. In the following release you will also be able to record a video from within Facebook, too!
In addition, if you want to use Hictu from its website but don’t have an account yet, you can easily send an invite to yourself from within the Facebook App. Easy right?
