Two Simple Tips To Save Battery Life On Your BlackBerry
New Blackberry Bold

A couple of months ago I wrote a post where I described how I got an unbelieveble battery life on my BlackBerry Bold.

Looks like a new cool little app has just been released, Wi-Fi Disabler. It basically turns WiFi off when your Blackberry is no more under coverage. It is definitely very useful since you probably use WiFi when at home or office, but don’t need to keep WiFi on while driving, something that definitely drains a lot of battery power.

It is quite cheap, $2.49, but incomplete. The problem is that you have to manually turn WiFi on again if you want to use it. You can deal with it, but sometimes could be annoying.

Alternatively, there is a much more powerful application. For just $5.99, it does a lot of things based on your location.

You can switch to vibration, turn bluetooth or WiFi on/off and so on. It’s up to you, but in my opinion the latter app is well worth the price while the former is a bit pricey (it is very basic.)
