shared those documents on purpose?
agreed to publish them?
…are now watching the consequences smiling?

Well, I was just wondering. But it’s pretty clear that those “secret” and “stolen” documents are putting Twitter in everyone’s mouth and those Techcrunch’s posts about Twitter are likely the most discussed and the most viewed of all times.

Moreover, now I’m looking at Twitter in a different way. I now know they are thinking big and, whether it will be true or false or rather never happen, I already imagine Twitter as a 5.000 people company. On the contrary, those documents are an alert for their competitors / other big players and a clear sign that Twitter is not ignoring them.

What do you think? Were those documents really stolen? Is this a big comedy put together by Silicon Valley’s most read tech blog and the popular micro-blogging service?

My take? No. And TechCrunch took the right decision to publish them. A popular italian journalist I was talking to on this subject said:

If they got those docs without asking them and without paying for them, they MUST publish the content. This is journalism.
