Today my company released a new important update to our rank-based Twitter search engine Tweefind.
For those who are reading about this service for the first time, Tweefind is basically a realtime Twitter search engine that, unlike other similar search engines, shows tweets ordered according to a rank assigned to Twitter users. In a nutshell, it removes noise and keeps the signal (relevant tweets) only
You can get more information from Mashable’s review or from this presentation on slideshare.
The new Tweefind we just released basically shows one page only with the 15 most relevant tweets corresponding to the search keywords. In the previous version, you could change page to see tweets coming from lower-ranked Twitter users but we realized that our users basically never clicked to see pages after the first one.
For this reason, the now much faster one-page only Tweefind updates the search results periodically (every 15 seconds), replacing tweets with new more relevant ones (if any available). Last but not least, don’t forget that Tweefind also provides an integration with Tweepfind to find new high-ranked Twitter users whose bio contain the keywords inserted plus it extracts the most re-tweeted links from Tweetmeme and show them on the sidebar. Coll, right?
We are very happy about this new release and we are always looking forward to your comments and suggestions. Moreover, if you have a Wordpress blog, don’t forget to integrate our Tweefind Wordpress Plugin to get relevant highest-ranked tweets related to your blog posts.
