OFFICIAL: BT acquires Ribbit for 105 Million

After last week’s rumors, It’s now official: BT bought Ribbit for 105M. More here. BT today announced it has acquired Ribbit Corporation, a Silicon Valley-based ‘Telco 2.0′ platform company, for $105 million in cash, on a cash-free, debt-free basis. Ribbit to be acquired by British Telecom

According to trusted sources it seems that Ribbit has been acquired by the incumbent british telecom operator BT. Ask.com acquires Dictionary.com

San Francisco based web search engine Ask.com acquired Lexicon Publishing Group, owners of Dictionary.com and Thesaurus.com. Even if Google dominates the web search market, it seems there is still space for Ask.com to consolidate its position and increase their market share.
