According to the “official” definition, Web 3.0 is all about “semantic web” and describes what the future of the world wide web will look like.

If you have a Mac and you want a bit of Web 3.0 on your desktop, then this plugin is for you. In a nutshell, it adds the ability to find related emails to the one you highlight on your MacOSX Mail client.

Mac users who are familiar with Spotlight (all, I presume) will find this plugin very useful. According to its developer:

The RelatedMessages plugin builds an index, similar to Spotlight, of all your mail files, and uses that index to find messages related to the currently viewed message. The plugin determines relevance by looking at both the headers and the contents of the message.

Related mails are shown on the right in a separate panel, but more options are available. It’s certainly far from being a fast plugin and CPU/hard drive are used intensely, in particular in the first phase after installation.

Being still under development, we can certainly forgive these weaknesses and I bet it will quickly become a must-have addition for your Mail client.
