Google Maps for Mobile has just been updated with a fantastic new feature, called My Location (beta): you can get you current location without the need of a built-in GPS on your cellphone.
It basically uses information provided by cell towers and use the “triangulation” to gather you actual position. It’s an approximate position of course, but it’s a first step.
For privacy reasons, you can choose to turn it off of course. But it’s definitely a new cool feature.
My current position according to the new Google Maps for Mobile is more than accurate right now! Great Job!
